Tech-Tip: iPad Case + Dock

I love my iPad as much as anyone and as sleek as it is, I feel like it needs some kind of case. The sleekest best fitting case that I could find that I liked was the Apple case. I do think it’s a bit odd that Apple doesn’t design their products to be able to dock and be protected at the same time. I have a lot of love for Apple but they could do a bit better there. Anyway, I found a really simple fix. All you need is an Exacto blade and a pen.- Take your iPad out of the case!!!!!! Do not try to cut the case with your iPad in it. Seriously, that would be pretty dumb.
- Next, place the case next to the dock and mark the width and height that needs to be cut away.
- I put a piece of cardboard inside the case before cutting so the blade didn’t accidentally go through the other side. This is up to you but better to be safe than sorry.
- Just carefully and neatly cut away the part of the case along the bottom and up the back that gets in the way of the dock.
- Voila! Now you can protect and dock your iPad:)
It’s really simple, works good, and looks clean.
